Dear all,
the new year is already a few days old, so here's a Grenadine update:
Vince will be on tour in May, solo & acoustic & with a few new songs in the repertoire – all concerts can be found under LIVE. Come along, it'll be lovely!
Before that, we'll be in the studio recording our arrangements from the last two years. We're really looking forward to it and hope it will be a beautiful album. More info coming soon.
There are also new press photos by the wonderful Barbara Dietl.

Dear friends,
we would like to share with you that Sister Andi will be taking a break for an indefinite period of time (as far as the band is concerned), as her life seems to be getting busier and more stressful. This is very sad, but it is not the end of the duo – rather a pause in making music together. Hopefully we can celebrate a reunion as soon as possible.
In January, we will do some live recordings at the wonderful 100 Mijolen Studio.
In spring, Vince will be going on solo tour. All dates can be found here and inquiries are welcome via our contact form.

My Sister Grenadine play minimalistic folk with a love for details and experiments. Their music is an encounter with sound and language, far and nearby, openness and reduction. Free Folk, John Cage Pop, radical softness.
My Sister Grenadine lives at various places. These places are songs, these songs are people. Let´s meet and walk for a bit while listening to each other. You will get to know about awkward volcanoes and homeless cities, of curiosity and solidarity, of combed teeth and colliding landscapes.

It is difficult to place this self-confident band into a specific genre, their music could be labeled with any anti- or freakfolk label - but the intrusive hipster or nature boy image of the modern city dweller, which is often associated with it, is pleasantly absent here. The lyrics move between private macro-section and social wide-angle and demand increased attention. My Sister Grenadine are probably one of the few bands who - despite their successful records! - only really can be completeley understood during a live performance when all the senses are engaged.
